Wedding Invitation Design

Custom and Template Invitation Design

If you've found this page, more than likely someone referred you or you are an Elite bride. Even if neither of those apply, welcome! Hopefully I'll get to meet you soon if we haven't met already. This page should give you a quick run-down of how I work and what you can expect. I offer custom wedding invitation design as well as a budget-friendly template design option. Below are the differences and what you can expect from each process. You can also find the current templates here.

Consultation // We'll get to meet and you can let me know what you're looking for. I'll also show you samples. These are usually done at Elite Bridal in Champaign, but I'm open to phone, FaceTime or Skype consultations, too!

Estimate // Within a few days of your consultation, you should expect an estimate of price. This will include cost of design, printing and envelopes. All invitations  are priced to include envelopes. Once approved, I will begin your design concepts.

Design Concepts // Depending on how far out your wedding date is and how my workload is at the time, you should expect to receive 2-3 design concepts within a week or two. Again, this might vary if your date is a year away and I am currently working on a few other invitations. I'm a one-person studio, so sometimes I have to prioritize depending on due date.

Revisions // Any and all feedback is welcome. If you like one of the concepts and want to continue as it is, that's great. If you'd like to see a few things changed, that's also great. After a design is nailed down, you'll get a PDF of the invitation set and then have another chance for minor revisions. To keep from going over your allotted revisions, take your time, proofread everything, and send me a collaborative list of what you need revised.

Printing and Color Proof // At this point, the design should be ready for me to prep and send to the printer. Usually a printed color proof is ready within 1-2 days. If possible, we will meet at Elite and have you look at the actual printed proof. You can send a designated fill-in if you need to. I can also proof this for you if it's completely impossible for you to meet. The only changes that should possibly need to be made at this point would be color tweaks.

You will also choose your envelope color while checking out the printed proof. I have a swatch book of over 50 colors for you to choose  from (including metallic).

Once the color proof is approved and your envelope color is picked out, you're final set of invitations should be ready in about a week!

If you're interested in an estimate or consultation, please fill out the following form so I can get a better idea of what you're looking for:

Consultation // This is a completely optional step for the template process. Typically, I just need an email or call from you letting me know which template  you would like to go with (here are my current designs). I'll email you a list of details that I'll need to get started. Along with updating your template choice with your information, you also have the option to change the color palette. I will also out any design elements (such as background textures), as long as it doesn't require a complete overhaul lof the current design.

Estimate // Within a few days of us initially talking, you should expect an estimate of price. This will include cost of design, printing and envelopes. All invitations  are priced to include envelopes. Once approved, I will begin your template updates.

PDF Proof // You should expect a full PDF proof from me before I send your artwork on to the printer.

Revisions // You will have a chance to make any updates/changes you see at this point. Please review the proof thoroughly. You'll get one more chance to review before printing, but this is the easiest stage to make updates.
